Fresh from Metalcolour – DOBEL® Endure Zero
A while back, we launched Dobel Endure – our outdoor-grade product designed mainly for exterior doors. The film is made from bio-based, phthalate-free PVC, offering durability with a lower footprint. Now we’re taking it a step further. Say hello to Dobel Endure Zero – the same trusted product, but made of steel with a significantly higher proportion of recycled material. That makes it even stronger from a sustainability perspective. Per Nord, Sales Manager at Metalcolour Sweden, puts it simply: “This is another great example of how close collaboration with our partners makes a real difference. Sustainability is becoming more important every day, and being able to offer a product with a significantly higher proportion of recycled steel feels great – it’s a step firmly in the right direction.” Metalcolour is a leading supplier of film-laminated steel for security doors and lift interiors across the Nordic region. We first introduced our Dobel products to the construction sector about 30 years ago – and the feedback was positive from day one. One of the main advantages with a film-laminated steel door is that it’s more scratch-resistant and robust than a painted one. That’s a win for both appearance and lifespan. Per is quick to credit customers for playing an important role in shaping the product range: “Our customers are our partners. We keep an ongoing, close dialogue with them, and their feedback is crucial in making sure we deliver exactly what the market wants.” In the marine world, Metalcolour and Dobel are recognised brands worldwide, known for quality and innovation. We’ve helped set industry benchmarks – from being among the first to produce film-laminated steel that met fire safety classifications, to offering heat-applied protective film on all our products. Today, most cruise and passenger ships built in Northern Europe feature Metalcolour products in cabins, corridors, and public areas. More recently, we’ve also expanded into aluminium-based Dobel products for railway interiors – and projects there are starting to take off too. The transition into the building sector was a natural next step. “We started with door manufacturers, knowing our product would be a perfect fit,” Per says. “Today, Metalcolour and Dobel are big players in both security doors and lift interiors.” Our broad design range is another key reason customers choose us. We stay tuned to market trends and adapt our selection accordingly – with around 400 designs and colours in stock, and over 1,000 more available to order. For Per, product quality is non-negotiable. But it’s not just about what we make – it’s about how we deliver: “Knowing I can count on everything running smoothly from order to delivery makes my work with customers so much easier.” It’s that mix of high quality, flexibility, service approach and innovative thinking that’s helped Metalcolour and Dobel earn – and keep – our position in the market. From marine excellence to building innovation
