What? We will be exhibiting at Innotrans 2026 and would be happy if you wanted to visit our stand. InnoTrans is the leading international trade fair for transport technology, which takes place every two years in Berlin.

Sub-divided into the five trade fair segments Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction, InnoTrans occupies all 42 halls available at Berlin Exhibition Grounds. The InnoTrans Convention, the event’s top-level supporting programme, complements the trade fair and will be streamed live.

A unique feature of InnoTrans is its outdoor and track display area, where everything from tank wagons to high-speed trains are displayed on 3,500 metres of track.

Why? For decades, materials such as plywood and HPL have been familiar choices for hard interior surfaces in railway vehicles. But as designers, train manufacturers and interior suppliers, look for new ways to combine functionality, efficiency and distinctive design, there is a case for looking at these established choices from a different perspective.

DOBEL® Film Laminated Aluminium by Metalcolour takes a different approach. By combining an aluminium substrate with a durable decorative film, it brings together the properties of metal with a wide range of visual possibilities. The result is a lightweight material that can be rolled, pressed, profiled and formed, while retaining the appearance and properties of the decorative surface. This creates opportunities for components and geometries that can be more challenging to achieve with conventional materials.

The possibilities extend across a wide range of interior applications. Technical Coating

Technical Coating is a highly specialized product range offering customized solutions in coil coating of numerous metal substrates, e.g. coated steel or coated aluminum, with own developed or customer specified coatings, primers and binders. Taking the step from piece coating to using precoated steel or precoated aluminium in your production process, will save you both time and money and even shorten your lead times. DOBEL® film laminated steel and film laminated aluminium products are mainly used as interior design applications for ceilings, wall panels, doors, wet units, bag compartments, security doors, lifts, etc. We have over 400 designs in stock and more than 1.000 available on request.

Decorative Coating – prepainted steel and prepainted aluminium

We deliver prepainted steel, prepainted stainless steel and prepainted aluminium for applications in ships, buildings, etc. Our food safe paint systems are approved to be in non-direct food contact. The material can be delivered in almost every colour and gloss. Our paint system is approved by IMO to be used in ship buildings. Fire classified paint are used for ceilings, sandwich panels, doors, etc. Both Metalcolour indoor and outdoor systems are custom made, which means that you decide if the system must be smooth or having a structured surface, as well as colour and gloss grade.

Technical Coating – coated steel and coated aluminium

The Technical Coating solutions developed typically have several purposes in a combination of technical requirements and high volume production. Main part of our clients utilize Metalcolour to industrialize processes in order to take advantage of economies of scale in decreasing cost per unit.

Metal Binder is an adhesive making it possible to bond materials like rubber to steel, rubber to aluminum and plastics to metal surfaces.

Anti-friction coating is used in applications exposed to extremely harsh environments where component surfaces need to be able to move together without having to be lubricated.
